My name is Yasiris Ortiz. I am a third-year computer science student at The City College of New York. My academic goal is to become a software engineer and work for big tech companies like Google, Microsoft or Facebook. In the future, I would like to become an educator because I enjoy teaching, helping and educating other people. This passion for teaching and help comes from the part-time job that I have done since I arrived in this country. I am a table tennis instructor in an elementary public school and a tax specialist at H&RBlock. I consider myself a multifaceted person. I like learning new things related to technology and computer science, I like doing research, participating in projects, hackathons, and workshops. I am looking forward to internships and/or program opportunities to expand and learn new programming skills.
