My name is Yasiris Ortiz. I am a third-year computer science student at The City College of New York. My academic goal is to become a software engineer and work for a big tech company such as Google, Microsoft or Facebook. One of my passions is teaching, and in the future I would like to become an educator.  As a table tennis instructor in my free time I taught in an elementary public school which allows me to engage the younger generation and help them in becoming good productive citizens. Since I arrived in the US my passion for teaching and helping has been a humbling experience. I consider myself a multifaceted person. I like learning new things related to technology and computer science, research, hackathons, workshops and participating in projects. I am looking forward to internships and/or program opportunities to expand and learn new programming skills.
